Abstract
More than several hundreds trials of WiMAX broadband wireless products have been rolled out throughout the world. The presentation will start with how WiMAX cleverly addresses both end user and operator expectations. We will then discuss the key success factors for a wireless technology like WiMAX. Through technology leadership & product readiness; commitment to Ecosystem openness; end-to-end offering & integration skills, Alcatel-Lucent has won over 80 contracts and trials around the world. With the maturing of Wimax, we are turning challenges into opportunities.

Speaker Biography
FAN Jin has joined Alcatel for 10 years, been working in Project Management, Marketing, Business Development in telecommunications, now is in charge of WiMAX business in China. Prior to Alcatel, Ms. FAN spent 3 years in Shanghai Jiaotong University for research & academic activity in Data Communications.

FAN Jin has received B.Sc and M.Sc degree of Electronic Engineering, Shanghai JiaoTong University, and MBA from CEIBS (China Europe International Business School) in 1998.<back>
